Full line of connected Welch Allyn vital signs devices now available to ABELMed® EHR-EMR/PM clients in a variety of ambulatory care offices

Mississauga, ON, January 8, 2014 - A comprehensive line of connected solutions is now available to clinicians across the province of Ontario through a partnership between Welch Allyn and ABELMed Inc. Welch Allyn vital signs devices now interface with one of Ontario's leading national electronic medical record (EMR) solutions, ABELMed® EHR-EMR/PM-a fully integrated EMR and practice management software. The integration of Welch Allyn devices will allow electronic transfer of patient test results directly between the company's connected diagnostic devices and the patient's medical summary section of the EMR-eliminating the need for manual data entry by providers, increasing efficiency and alleviating the risk of transcription and latency errors.

The agreement allows Welch Allyn connected vital signs devices to integrate with the software, offering healthcare providers in Ontario robust capabilities for electronic health and practice management.
